Institut francais du Nigeria

Founded in 1999, the Institut francais au Nigeria (IFN), a member of the French Institutes network, is the operator of the linguistic and cultural action of France in Nigeria. The IFN, under the supervision of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture, actively contributes to Frances influential diplomacy in Nigeria. Its projects and programs take into account local contexts and rely on a unique capacity to deploy through the vast diplomatic network made up of the Cultural Cooperation and Action Service of the French Embassy in Nigeria and French Alliances throughout the country. Located in Abuja, the administrative capital of the country, the mission of the Institut francais du Nigeria is to promote and disseminate the French language and culture, the Franco-Nigerian cultural cooperation and the promotion of studies in France.
