The Institute of Computer Technology (ICT) was a Joint Powers Agency created by the California Governor to provide teachers with training in using technology in the classroom. The organization provided managerial and pedagogical support to Intels and Microsofts Global Education Initiatives. ICT provided training to more than 1 million teachers in the U.S. and throughout the world, including in some of the most impoverished communities on earth. The organization operated more than 20 years, and closed in 2008 having completed its mission
