Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics, NAS of Ukraine

The Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (IMBG) was founded in 1973 on the basis of the Sector of Molecular Biology and Genetics of the Zabolotny Institute of Microbiology and Virology of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. IMBG initiated the collaboration of scientists and specialists in molecular biology, biochemistry, biophysics, microbiology, biotechnology, chemistry, and genetics. Presently its personnel is comprised of 429 employees, including 192 scientists, among them 25 Doctors of Sciences (Dr.Sci.) and 115 Doctors of Philosophy (Ph.D.), 2 Full Members of NASU and 1 Full Member of Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine (AMSU), and 5 Corresponding Members of NASU.
