Instituto de Quimica - Unicamp

The Institute of Chemistry at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) was founded in 1967, commencing undergraduate classes in 1968. The first research laboratory was assembled in 1969, and installation of the Institute in one of the currently occupied buildings, took place in 1971. Nowadays, it covers an area of approximately 32,000 m2, covering around 2100 m2 of teaching laboratories, 7,100 m2 of research laboratories, 2,000 m2 of instrument rooms, 1,500 m2 of workshops and warehouse and 1,320 m2 for Library, in addition to classrooms, teacher rooms, administrative area and other facilities
