International Han Institute (IHI) is established with the mission of promoting Chinese language and culture, and an initial focus on training qualified teachers to meet the growing demand for Chinese language instruction. Our mission is to promote the enjoyment of language teaching, learning and understanding of different perspectives, cultures, and practices. We intend to nurture our teachers with virtue, knowledge and the skills to become a good-will ambassador or global leader. Through our training programs, teachers will gain a global vision and sensitivity to foreign cultures, in addition to enhanced Chinese language competency, comprehension of Chinese culture, and a lifelong interest in learning Chinese.
