A nonprofit group of clinicians, scientists and engineers dedicated to the scientific development and awareness of neuromodulation. Neuromodulation is a reversible medical therapy that manages symptoms of some chronic pain conditions or neurological disorders by restoring nervous system balance, often using minimally invasive methods. The technique works by eliciting a natural biological response to nerve stimulation, such as through delivering a mild electric pulse from a small pacemaker-like device, or by applying small doses of pharmaceutical agents directly to the site of action.
