InterOil Corporation

InterOil Corporation is an independent oil and gas business with a primary focus on Papua New Guinea. InterOils assets include one of Asias largest undeveloped gas fields, Elk-Antelope, in the Gulf Province, and exploration licences covering about 16,000sqkm. The companys main offices are in Singapore and Port Moresby and InterOil is listed on the New York and Port Moresby stock exchanges. InterOil has permission from the Government of Papua New Guinea to explore for oil and gas across almost 4 million acres in the south of the country. The area is divided into four Petroleum Prospecting Licenses (PPLs) and two Petroleum Retention Licenses (PRLs). InterOil holds the PPLs for six years, from March 2014, with the option of renewing them for a further five years when they expire.
