INWOOD COMMUNITY SERVICES, INC. (ICS) is a not-for-profit community-based organization established in 1979 by a group of concerned community residents led by the then pastor of the Church of Good Shepherd, John J. Foley, CSP, to serve the residents of the Inwood-Washington Heights community. Celebrating its 35th year anniversary, ICS budget has grown from $20,000 in 1979 to approximately $4,000,000 today. Directed by Dr. Charles Corliss (who has been the agencys Executive Director since its inception), ICS currently has a staff of over 100 employees and provides extensive programming for children, adolescents, adults and families in COUNSELING; LITERACY; YOUTH SERVICES; AND PREVENTION.
