House Construction Investment Company of Iran was established in November 1968 to build low budget housing units for workers and farmers through joint investment by Bank Refah Kargaran (Workers Welfare Bank) and Social Security Fund. After a short time, all the shares of the company were transferred to the Social Security Organization of Iran. House Construction Investment Company of Iran started its work with mass construction of housing units. Later on, in view of physical requirements of the organization for the provision of diverse services (including medical, administrative, service, housing and so forth) to those insured by the organization and its own staff, the company turned into technical and engineering arm of the organization to provide project design, supervision, execution and management services for the organization.
