Founded in 1992, Al-Amal is a non-political, non-sectarian NGO empowering Iraqis through human rights promotion, community development, and social justice initiatives. We work across the country, supporting women, children, and youth through: Women rights including equality, womens empowerment, and violence against women and girls; Human rights including advocacy, supporting Human Rights Defenders, advocating for humanitarian aid, empowering livelihoods, and political participation; Peacebuilding including peace and conflict studies, dialogue, social cohesion, and reconciliation.
