Launched in 1985, the Islamic Welfare Association (ISWA) is a non-governmental organization that works in Lebanon to fight poverty, social injustice, and the impacts of natural disasters. With 6 subsidiaries, ISWA is committed to helping vulnerable populations, especially orphans families, female-headed households, internally displaced persons, refugees, people with disabilities and unprivileged families. Throughout the years, ISWA has extended the scope of its effort and cooperated with the civil society, concerned with relief, care and sustainable developmental activities. At ISWA, we balance our work between emergency relief and long-term development based on changing needs of each community.
