The Department started UG Programme in Information Technology during the year 2000 with an initial intake of 60 students and an intake enhanced to 120 in the year 2007 and increased to 180 in 2022. The UG Programme is accredited by NBA during 2008-09, 2014-17, and 2017-20 and the accreditation was extended till 30-06-2027 (OBE Tier I). The Department has a PG Programme in Data Science in association with IBM, TCS, and ANBLICKS with an intake of 12 students in the year 2019. The strength of the Department is 30 active faculty, out of them 14 Doctorates from IITs, NITs, and Reputed Universities. Faculty are specialized in diversified research areas like AI, ML, IoT, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Image Processing, Remote sensing, and Software Reliability. Department has Collaborative laboratories in association with Apple, IBM, and Anblicks.
