Italia Nostra is the oldest national association for the defence of the historical, cultural and environmental heritage of Italy. Italia Nostra rigorously remains outside party politics. The association has its own independent policies for historical preservation, territorial planning and landscape protection. For over 50 years, Italia Nostra has contributed to the promotion of a conservation culture based on the respect of the national historical and human heritage.
