Izdemir Enerji Elektrik Uretim A.S. was established in 2007 in order to contribute to the increasingelectricity demand of Turkey. Izdemir Enerji Elektrik Uretim A.S. is an affiliate of Sahin-Koc Group, which also includes Izmir Demir Celik A.S. Izdemir Enerji Elektrik Uretim A.S.s 1x370 MWe thermal power plant is installed on 103 acres of land within the steel production facilities of Izmir Demir Celik A.S. The power plant, which is based on supercritical water/steam cycle and pulverized coal combustion technology firing imported coal, contributes to the energy requirement of Turkey with the production of 2.562.000.000 kWh electricity annually.
