Jane Addams Hull House Association

Jane Addams founded Hull House in 1889 on Chicagos West Side to help the neighborhoods desperately needy immigrants. Hull House quickly became a center of social and political reform. It was Chicagos first settlement house and soon became a community center for education, reform, recreation and social activities, growing into a model for the rest of the world.
