Our mission is to engage people of all ages to experience Japanese American history and culture and to improve their well-being through innovative, high quality programs and services tailored to the multicultural community. JASC fulfills its mission by: maintaining the Legacy Center Archives and Library, a community-based resource that collects and preserves material from the Japanese American community in Chicago; providing opportunities for people to learn and engage in cultural classes; sponsoring and co-hosting programs and events of significance to the Japanese American community; and providing services of value to members of the multicultural community
