Jefferson County 9-1-1 Emergency Communications provides emergency and administrative support for thousands of residents, visitors, and first responders. Through the use of state-of-the-art technology and a highly trained staff, we work to exceed the expectations of our community in their critical time of need. We are the primary answering point for all communities within Jefferson County Tennessee. We employ dedicated Emergency Communications Specialist who answer over 100,000 calls for service each year from residents and visitors in Jefferson County. They also dispatch responders for all public safety response disciplines law enforcement, fire, and EMS agencies within Jefferson County. The Jefferson County 9-1-1 Emergency Communications District is funded by telephone user fees, which is governed by the Tennessee Emergency Communications Board (TECB).
