Jett Foundation

Since 2001, Jett Foundation has met the needs of the Duchenne muscular dystrophy community. Duchenne is the most common lethal genetic disorder of children worldwide. It is a progressive neuromuscular disorder that causes the loss of muscle function and independence. Most children are diagnosed around kindergarten, many will stop walking before high school, and few will celebrate their 25th birthday. There are approximately 20,000 patients in the United States living with Duchenne. While we were founded out of one familys desperate need to save their son, we have transformed dramatically. Once a non-profit dedicated to raising money for biomedical research, today we are meeting our families and young people where they are with direct service and educational programs that improve and enrich the lives of individuals impacted by Duchenne.
