Jewish Community Relations Council of New York

JCRC-NY serves as the central coordinating and resource body for the Jewish community in the metropolitan New York area in the community relations field and is an active force in New York civic and communal life. JCRC-NY operates as a coordinating body to foster joint and cooperative action among its members and other organizations to: Promote equality of opportunity and full civil rights and civil liberties for Jewish and all other racial, religious and ethnic groups in New York. Encourage amicable relationship, mutual understanding and respect among the various groups in New York. Help create and maintain conditions that are conducive to encouraging the continuity and vitality of Jewish living in a pluralistic society.
