About 0.5% of Australians are homeless. This causes many difficulties for the individuals as well as the community at large. At Jewish House, we provide 24/7 Crisis Support to children, women & men of all denominations in need. Our purpose is to assist people in their time of crisis with immediate intervention, crisis accommodation, Rapid Rehousing and various counseling and referral services. Beyond the short term period of crisis intervention our strategy is to use pragmatic and innovative programs to prevent further crises and to facilitate the transition and integration of our clients into the community to lead satisfying lives. Jewish House has also recently launched JH Kids, we work with children aged 4 to 12 preparing for or attending primary school and who are experiencing challenges in learning, well-being, social-emotional or behavioral development.
