jHub Defence

The jHub is the central innovation hub for UK Defences Strategic Command. We use user-centred design to pilot novel capabilities (technology, processes, services) with Defence users in a matter of weeks. We specialise in repurposing technology being exploited within other sectors. In two and a half years we have completed 25 projects, delivering new capability to defence users and working with the business to transition them to core. Our team of innovation scouts find, field and work with Strategic Command to fund new capabilities, working to our Commanders objectives for the organisation. The jHub aims to provide a base layer approach to new technology in Defence, to provide constructive disruption and to deliver transformational change at pace. We provide a lean methodology based innovation mechanisms to all part of UK Strategic Command.
