Jogjakarta Community School

Yayasan Suluh Semesta established Jogjakarta Community School in September 2012 to provide English language education for expatriate and Indonesian children in the Jogjakarta area. Our children follow the National Curriculum of England and Wales and our older students sit the internationally recognised iGCSE examinations through Cambridge International Examinations (CIE). JCS operates as a not for profit organisation. The school is supported and governed by a parent and community elected Board of Governors. The school and Board are further supported by our Trustees, the original founders who operate through Yayasan Suluh Semesta (YSS). Our YSS Trustees and Board members work with the teaching staff to support the schools strategic plan. Since our doors opened to students and through the support of everyone within the JCS community, school numbers have grown and in January 2017, the school moved to a new purpose-built site in the north of the city.
