Approximately 7,500 students from PreK through 12th grade attend the Johnston Community School District (JCSD), located in Johnston, Iowa a thriving suburb north of Iowas capital city of Des Moines. What started as a one building district in 1914 is now comprised of an early childhood learning center, five elementary schools, two middle schools, a high school, a district office, and a transportation/building and grounds facility.
