Jolla Ltd. from Finland develops the European mobile operating system Sailfish OS, an open Linux mobile operating system targeted for enterprise and governmental solutions. While an independent Linux platform, not based on Android, Sailfish OS can run common Android apps, a technology Jolla also licenses as a standalone solution to other Linux-based platforms. Our company was born in 2011, with roots in Nokia and MeeGo. We believe in openness and independence in everything we do.
