Jonathan Gloag Academy

Jonathan Gloag Academy (JGA) opened its doors to 138 pupils in January 2002 in the serene campus situated on Mbagathi Way, after a special official opening by His Excellency, Retired, President Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi. JGA was founded to educate the orphaned and destitute children of Kenya Childrens Homes (formerly Thomas Barnardo House) alongside fee paying pupils. From the beginning, all profits from the school have been used to enable the charitable purposes of Kenya Childrens Homes (KCH) to help provide education and care to vulnerable children. We aim at facilitating the integration of children from KCH with those from regular families, leading to the realisation that they are one. The school, managed by a team of qualified professionals, stresses the highest level of discipline and mutual respect amongst pupils, teachers and parents guided by Christian principles.
