The Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute was founded in 2010, by the Josep Carreras Foundation and the Government of Catalonia, as the first European research centre devoted exclusively to leukaemia and other malignant blood diseases, and one of the few that exist in the world. We investigate basic, epidemiological, preventive, clinical, and translational aspects of leukaemia and other hematologic malignancies. Our research aims to identify new therapeutic targets and enable us to develop more precise and less aggressive treatments.
