Since 1939, JT Russell & Sons, has grown from working in the farming industry to a major heavy highway and civil construction company. Our personnel and equipment have evolved with the major advancements in the construction industry to include GPS assisted grading and asphalt paving, drone assisted 3D mapping, and real time tracking of inventories and deliveries. Our crews install hundreds of miles of quality asphalt per year, with material that is produced at our very own facilities, where we can better manage supply. Over the past 20 years, we have completed numerous projects for the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) including the majority of widening highway 24/27 from Charlotte to Albemarle, the Troy (Montgomery County) By-pass, and several roundabouts in Stanly and Union Counties.
