Kallipolis is a nonprofit organization that aims at improving livability in urban contexts through the approach of social urbanism. Kallipolis works, in Italy and other countries, to promote a widespread application of the principles of sustainable development, social integration of marginal populations and groups and to support quality of life and safety in urban environments by making use of participatory planning tools. Kallipolis focuses on urban quality and safety in the processes of transformation and renovation of the urban fabric. In this context, we have elaborated an approach that aims at identifying risk factors and strenghts through crucial information and looks forward to systematize the collection, production and analysis of data about urban phenomena.
