Kalundborg Symbiosis

The Kalundborg Symbiosis is a partnership between seventeen public and private companies in Kalundborg. Furthermore, we work closely together with project Biopro. Since 1972 we have developed the Worlds first industrial symbiosis with a circular approach to production. The main principle is that a residual flow in one company, becomes a resource in another, benefiting both the environment and the economy. Having a local partnership means that we can share and reuse resources, and that way we save money as well as minimize waste.
