Kamloops Christian School

History Kamloops Christian School was founded in 1985 as six Kamloops churches (Calvary Community Church, Evangelical Free Church, Full Gospel Tabernacle, Gateway City Church, Sahali Fellowship, and Southwest Community Church) came together to bring Christian education to the Kamloops area. A Board of Directors was put together (Kamloops Christian School Association), accreditation was finalized, and classes began. For the first few years, KCS started as a K-9 school and rented space in the Kamloops Indian Band Residential School, later moving to Kamloops Alliance Church, and eventually purchasing the then unused North Kamloops Elementary School located on Willow Avenue (now Library Square). Finally, in 2003, an agreement was made between KCSA and the City of Kamloops to trade Willow Campus for the Cottonwood Center for $1.
