KarmaDevi Group is a humble attempt to architect a better, well-educated and closely knit community to strengthen our cultural roots, preserve our rich heritage and promote education-enabled progress in Basti District and surrounding areas. A result of hard work, determination and driven by a strong sense of paying back to his native village Ranipur, Basti, the foundation of KarmaDevi Group was laid by our esteemed Chairman, Mr O.N Singh (Retd. IAS) in 2009. Mr O.N Singhs father Late Shri. Praduman Singh was a farmer and passed away very early in his life. He and his brother Late Mr. D.M Singh (IFS) were raised by their mother Late Smt. Karma Devi who was an ardent believer in the power of education and the group has been named after her. She was an advocate for education and promotor of progress who inspired many and encouraged the idea of giving back and paying it forward by teaching poor children at her home in the village of Ranipur, Basti.
