Kartavya is an NGO that aims for a holistic approach in education of the underprivileged. For students who dont have access to quality education we provide a platform where they can learn and grow - educationally and socially. And how is it different? - Kartavya is completely managed by students! We believe we can connect to children and support them better when we ourselves are a part of the the process. Initially, Kartavya was started at NIFFT to fill in the need for a support to the education setup in the nearby locality at Hatia. Our responsibilities were confined to teaching at nearby areas and to support the children in the process of education. However, when it was felt that we need to take on greater responsibilities, we started our first centre at Hatia in 2007 channelizing all our small efforts into an organized structure.
