Kelowna Womens Shelter

The Central Okanagan Emergency Shelter society, operated as the Kelowna Womens Shelter, is a registered charity governed by a volunteer board of directors. For over 40 years, the Kelowna Womens Shelter has provided shelter, food, essential items, counselling, support services, and preventative education to women and their children experiencing domestic abuse and violence. Programs and services provided include an Outreach Program, support groups, advocacy, PEACE Program for children who have witnessed abuse, Inside/Out Violence Prevention Program for Youth, volunteering opportunities, and our Thrift Store. We also act as a connector to other local like-minded services, supports and organizations that may be of help to the women and children who access our facility. Shelter counselors are on duty and ready to help 24-hours a day, 7 days per week in person, over the phone, and through e-mail.
