Ken Forrester Wines. The Homestead dates back to 1694 and is steeped in rich history as one of the oldest properties in Stellenbosch. Ken and Teresa Forrester purchased the property in 1993 and the first harvest of Ken Forrester Wines was in 1994. Within a few years Ken had established himself as a formidable winemaker, focusing on Chenin Blanc and Rhone inspired red wine blends. 25 years later, KF wines is a global brand. Ken is considered by many industry peers as the Father of Chenin Blanc. He is also recognized as having planted the first Mourvedre vines in Stellenbosch and has championed Grenache, Syrah & Mourvedre (GSM) blends for 20 years. Our winery has a rustic charm to it and all who visited praise its authentic and homely feel.
