Kentucky Gun Company

In the year 1946, Keenes Depot first opened its doors in the historic town of Bardstown, Kentucky. Over the past 64 years, Keenes Depot has served the local community as a grocery store, ice house, and a sporting goods store, simultaneously under one roof. Beginning in 2001, sensing the end of an era of small family owned grocery stores, our direction began to change with an emphasis on firearms and the shooting sports. There was a strong need in our part of Kentucky for a dedicated firearms and shooting sports store, so we decided to fill the void. As we grew, more customers began to drive from further away to shop with us. Word eventually spread out about our wide inventory selection, strait forward honesty, and extremely low pricing, resulting in our customer base to spread across the United States. That prompted customers to start asking for a website, and out of this grew KyGunCo.com.
