Key Asset Management (UK) Limited (Key) was founded in 1989 with the objective of investing with hedge fund managers and strategies. Since its inception through to the present day Keys business has been entirely focused on hedge funds. Key launched its first fund in April 1990, with the initial seeding coming from a large insurer. Over the following years Key broadened its range by offering products with focus on Equity Long/Short, Event Driven and region specific strategies. In addition Key assisted clients with their direct hedge fund investments with third party managers. For several years now through its rigorous approach to investment and risk management Key has focused on providing solutions for institutional clients.
