Khula Development Group

Khula Development Group is a registered Non-Profit Organisation active in 9 primary schools in and around Paarl and Stellenbosch. Our mission is to strengthen the value of education and school attendance for children at risk of school disengagement. According to UNICEF Out-Of-School Children in South Africa tripled from 250 000 to 750 000 between March 2020 and July 2021. To address and prevent school disengagement, we run the following THREE programmes: 1. School2Home Programme To provide school-and home-based support of learners presenting with early warning signs indicating an increased risk of school disengagement and to promote learner and parental / household engagement in the childs education. 2. Love2Learn Programme To promote a culture of learning and strengthen the value of education and attendance through child & primary caregiver participation, youth activation and community collaboration. 3.
