The Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology (KICT) is Koreas only government-funded research institute in the area of construction technology. Drawing on the unrivaled R&D capacities we have accumulated over upwards of 40 years, we are an institution dedicated to our social roles and responsibilities as a body for research. The KICT is on the cusp of a new beginning, as we intend to transform our operations as follows. First, we will engage aggressively in research to resolve national-level issues that are intimately associated with the quality of life of the Korean people: smart cities, future road infrastructures, responding to climate change-induced disasters, and reducing airborne fine dust (fine particulate matter).
