Kimal Lumber opened in 1981 during a recession year, and was founded by Al Bavry and Kim Pavkovich (both came from Wickes Lumber). Kim and Al became the partners KimAl and the business began with 9 employees. Since then the company has grown steadily from its inception into 6 separate locations, including a Exterior Window and Door Plant, a Design Center/Showroom, an Engineered Wood/Truss Division, and a drive-thru Lumberyard in Sarasota, Florida.
