King Construction

Founded in 1947 by Cecil King, King Construction has grown from a company specializing in agricultural grain bins and buildings to one recognized throughout central Iowa as a leader in commercial, agricultural, industrial, and residential building design and construction. Headquartered in Iowa Falls, Iowa, for nearly 70 years, with just four different ownerships, our company has successfully partnered with thousands of businesses, farmers, non-profit organizations and private property owners to help provide them achieve their building goals and dreams. In the mid 1970s, upon Cecils retirement the business was acquired by Laverne Sharar and the King Construction tradition continued on under his direction. Lavernes also owned Ackermans, a lumber yard based in Alden, IA, and during his tenure, King Construction began doing carpentry projects to compliment both businesses and utilize carpentry crews.
