KIPP Delta Public Schools

KIPP Delta Public Schools is a network of free, open-enrollment public charter schools offering a college-preparatory education to students in the Arkansas Delta. In 2002, we opened our doors to eager fifth graders in Phillips County the poorest county in Arkansas and the 12th poorest in the nation. The class of 2010 has since grown into college-bound young adults, and the KIPP Delta network has expanded to include elementary, middle, and high schools, serving over 1,400 students. Nearly all of our students are African-American (90%), and 90% qualify for free and reduced-price school lunches. They are also proving that demography is not destiny, with ACT scores topping state and national averages and Arkansas End-of-Course Literacy Exam results at the top of the state. Our alumni are currently enrolled at top universities in Arkansas and across the country, including the University of Arkansas, Hendrix College, and Vanderbilt University many with full scholarships.
