Kivu International specialises in supporting locally-led policy change. We believe that well-designed and effectively implemented public policy increases prosperity and improves the lives of people in the worlds poorest countries. But for policy change to achieve real and lasting impact, it cant be imposed from the outside it must be developed, debated and owned locally. This is why Kivu International works with local institutions that seek to influence and strengthen policy in their own countries and help them bring about the change they want to see. Drawing on our significant first-hand experience of the policy-making world we use a model of peer-to-peer support to strengthen organisations and governments in the global south interested in influencing and improving public policy.
