George Cooper, a British interior designer and old Harrovian, founded the prestigious KK Collection on Sri Lankas southern coast in 2006. The collection comprises 3 exceptional boutique hotels the 12-bedroom Kahanda Kanda, 10-bedroom KK Beach and 14 bedroom The Villa Bentota, a safari camp in Yala with 6 tents as well as a chic boutique in the heart of Galle Fort. Kahanda Kanda opened in 2006, initially with 5 villas, and now has 12 separate villas, eight of which have their own private plunge pools. Each villa is decorated in a different style and the emphasis is on privacy and rejuvenation. In 2015, George acquired a plot of land on prized Habaraduwa Beach and transformed it into KK Beach, a chic and affordable boutique hotel.
