The Department of Clinical Genetics at Aarhus University Hospital provides genetic diagnostics and counselling to patients from Central Denmark Region. We counsel patients and families with chromosome anomalies, inborn errors of metabolism, syndromes, and other inherited, congenital, and malignant disorders. We see approximately 3600 patients annually in our outpatient clinic, where we diagnose and assess the risks of genetic predisposition to diseases such as cancer and perform diagnostics of syndromes. Our laboratories include a cytogenetic and a molecular genetic laboratory where we perform pre- and post-natal diagnostics.
