Koahnic Broadcast Corporation (KBC) is a non-profit, Alaska Native and Native American media center headquartered in Anchorage, Alaska. KBC was created as a non-profit corporation in 1992 by Alaska Native leaders to address the need for a media service to preserve culture and languages, combat widespread misconceptions and prejudices against Alaska Natives, and create cross-cultural bridges. Since 1992, Koahnics work has grown to be more national in scope and in 2000 its mission statement was updated to reflect that.
