Koala Conservation Australia (Port Macquarie Koala Hospital) has been helping rescue and rehabilitate koalas since 1973. We are a not-for-profit organisation that includes approximately 200 volunteers dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating koalas and conserving and restoring their natural habitats. In 2022, the Koala was officially listed as an endangered species. Unfortunately, this listing was completely preventable. Recent studies indicate the koala will become extinct in New South Wales before 2050 unless rapid and effective action is taken.
