Kolej Laila Taib was established on 1st March 2010 when United College of Sarawak (UCS) was renamed as Kolej Laila Taib in honour of Datuk Patinggi Dr. Hajjah Laila Taib for her selfless dedication and philanthropic commitments to the generations of Sarawakians during her lifetime. Kolej Laila Taibs main objective is to ensure that the legacy left behind through Datuk Patinggi Dr. Hajjah Laila Taibs selfless dedication and philanthropic commitments to the generations of Sarawakians during her lifetime is continued. Laila Taib Scholarship is available to all KLT students who met the entry requirements of each respective programmes and is on a first-come-first-serve basis. This provides a great opportunity for students who wish to pursue their higher education, at an affordable cost. Laila Taib Scholarship covers the tuition fees for the ENTIRE Diploma programme at KLT, allowing students to nurture their interest in the chosen field for their future without the financial burden.
