Happy Tomorrow Beyond Safety Welcome to KORAD As KORAD is a government agency, we have an important role in safe management of all kinds of radioactive wastes. KORAD is always to focus on safety as a top priority. As radioactive wastes affect public health, lives of future generation and environment, we have to take care of the wastes safely. Furthermore, we have to take full responsibility for strict waste management as a designated organization and government agency. The management has also included safe operation of the LILW Disposal Facility since 2014. With the operation experiences, KORAD is preparing to establish a high-level waste management policy at the earliest moment. Moreover, we are to take care of decommissioning wastes as well. Along with waste management, we must return radioactive wastes to nature safely under mutual communication with the public, transparent operation, and R&D.
