Korea Zinc was founded in August 1974 and is now considered by many as the most technologically advanced and singularly competitive non-ferrous metal smelter in the world. Since the construction of a zinc smelter with an annual capacity of 50 thousand tons in 1978, the company has been continuing to develop its technology and investing into equipment and facilities, which have allowed it to expand its smelting expertise beyond zinc.
