La Poste du Benin is the designated operator for the provision of essential and universal services in Benin. A local company, it is responsible for the collection, transport and distribution of mail, packages, parcels, goods, etc. It also has the credo of strengthening grassroots financial inclusion by offering several financial services such as savings, current account management, money transfers, foreign exchange and insurance. La Poste also transports passengers on all roads in Benin and on the Seme-Krake (Benin-Nigeria border) - Afloa (Togo-Ghana border) corridor. Placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, headed by Mr. Romuald WADAGNI, since May 25, 2021 thanks to the last ministerial reshuffle of President Patrice TALON, its head office is located in Cotonou.
